This Privacy Policy explains how HomeXpo (“HomeXpo”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit homexpo.in, use our services, register for events/exhibitions, or interact with us in any other way.

If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use our services. By using our website and services, you consent to the practices described here.

This Policy applies to our website, microsites, event registration pages, mobile experiences, and any services that link to it.


2) Applicable laws

We process personal data in line with applicable laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India), the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011. If you are located outside India, additional local laws (e.g., GDPR/CCPA) may grant you extra rights (see Section 12).


3) Information we collect

We collect information in the following categories:

  • Identity & contact data: name, email, phone, postal address, company, job title.

  • Event data: attendee/exhibitor registrations, badge details, session selections, interests, ticketing information.
  • Transaction data: orders, invoices, partial payment details (note: card data is processed by our payment partner; we do not store full card numbers).
  • Marketing & communications: newsletter sign-ups, opt-in/opt-out choices, survey responses.
  • Usage & device data: IP address, device identifiers, browser type, pages viewed, links clicked, session duration, approximate location, cookies/SDKs.
  • User content: messages, inquiries, support tickets, uploaded materials (e.g., exhibitor creatives, logos).

Sources: directly from you; automatically via cookies/SDKs; from partners (payment, analytics, exhibitors with your consent), and public sources (e.g., business directories).


4) Why we use your information

We use your information to:

  1. Provide services – create/manage accounts, process registrations, tickets, and payments, enable event check-in and badge printing.
  2. Operate events – exhibitor/attendee matchmaking, agenda building, floorplan tools, lead retrieval, customer support.
  3. Improve & secure – analytics, troubleshooting, fraud prevention, enforcing terms and policies.
  4. Communicate – service emails (confirmations, updates), marketing (when permitted), reminders, feedback surveys.
  5. Legal & compliance – tax, accounting, regulatory reporting, responding to lawful requests.
  6. With your consent – sharing your details with specific exhibitors/partners for follow-up, or for optional features.

5) Legal basis / grounds

We rely on one or more of the following, as permitted under applicable law: your consent, performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and legitimate uses/interests such as securing our services and improving user experience. You can withdraw consent at any time (see Section 11).


6) Cookies & similar technologies

We use cookies, pixels, and SDKs to remember preferences, keep you signed in, analyze usage, personalize content, and measure marketing.

  • Blocking some cookies may impact site functionality.

7) How we share information

We may share limited data with:

  • Event partners/exhibitors with your consent (e.g., when you scan a badge at a booth, join a sponsored session, or opt-in during registration).

We do not sell your personal data.


8) International transfers

Your data may be processed outside your country. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards (e.g., contractual protections) to protect your information.

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, and as required by law (e.g., tax, accounting). When no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

  • EU/EEA/UK (GDPR/UK GDPR): Rights include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection; you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
  • California (CCPA/CPRA): Rights include know/access, delete, correct, and limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell personal information.

13) Children’s privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us to delete it.
